How I Work
Every person is the expert of their own experiences and story, which is why I do not take a “cookie-cutter” approach to therapy. I believe in supporting and empowering my clients by making the therapeutic experience collaborative and tailoring treatment to each individual.
My practice focuses on using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered care. CBT helps my clients to recognize and transform negative thought patterns and behaviors, which can help to manage various mental health conditions and enhance overall well-being. Taking a person-centered approach to care ensures the I am always focusing on the needs, preferences, and values of my clients during treatment.
My goal is to create a safe space to support my clients in understanding and addressing emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges. We will work together to improve self-awareness, promote personal growth, and develop coping strategies for managing life’s difficulties.
My Background
As a proud Latino immigrant, I am passionate about creating safe spaces for individuals to feel heard, understood, and supported. My experience in mental health began as an intern in a non-profit residential setting, where I provided supervision to at-risk children and young adults experiencing a mental health crisis. It was there that I discovered my passion for mental health and my desire to become a therapist.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Social Behavior and my Master’s in Social Work. I have worked in crisis, school, and healthcare settings. My passion lies in therapeutic settings and providing individualized mental health services. I am fluent in Spanish and always aim to create a safe space to support you in understanding and addressing emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges.
Let’s work together
I am grateful for every client willing to share their story and seek a safe space to do so. Seeking support is one of the strongest things one can do. I look forward to connecting with you and working together on your goals!
