My Approach
My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and tailored to meet your needs. I use various evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help you navigate the challenges and complexities of life.
I am also a strong advocate of psychoeducation, as I believe empowering clients with knowledge is essential for improving overall wellness and developing strategies to sustain positive changes long after therapy ends.
My Background
Growing up as the youngest in my family and an immigrant from Central America, I gained a unique perspective on how culture and family dynamics shape our daily lives. This insight motivated me to pursue a career focused on helping others understand the behavioral patterns that affect their relationships and overall well-being.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Child and Adolescent Development and had the opportunity to work with children and families in an educational setting for 15 years. Later, I pursued a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, with the goal of working more directly with couples and families, where I feel I can make a meaningful impact.
Let’s Work Together
My goal in our sessions is to create a safe and supportive space where trust can be built, allowing for open communication and meaningful change. I hope that, as we work together, you feel empowered with self-awareness, knowledge, and coping skills, so you can confidently face whatever life brings.
